Invisible Children Documentary: March 31st 7-8:30 in the Great Hall:
At Fuel and Refuge this month we will be talking about Social Justice and issues in today’s world. As a conclusion to this series, we will be watching the documentary Invisible Children. This is a moving story about the issue of child soldiers in Uganda, and what this organization has done in response to learning about it. We also are going to have a bake sale at this showing and invite parents and friends to attend. We also invite anyone to bake whatever they desire and sell for $1. All proceeds will go to an organization called “31 bits” www.31bits.comwho employ Ugandan women and take them off the streets to provide for their families by making necklaces. These necklaces will be for sale at the event.

Along with the regular fun and faith growing opportunities of Fuel and Refuge, service opportunities are available to our youth (Middle School and High School). Jesus modeled through His own life a life of service. Saturday, March 13, 12:30-3:15,Fuel and Refuge will be serving with Haven Ministries in Sunbury. Wewill do whatever is needed (like gardening and cleaning) so let Mike or Jessi know if you’re up for the challange.

Signups for the Middle School Retreat (April 23-25)are due March 12th.  This trip to Manassas VA and Washington DC will combine a day service  organized by the group “1 by Youth” where we will help that community and a fun day in Washington DC to see the sights.

High School students looking to be challenged in their faith and a chance to grow deeper in their relationship with Christ and with each other are invited to the new Life Group.  Talk to Mike or Jessi if you are interested.
