We’ll Host Presbytery Saturday, March 20th

The Northumberland Presbytery will hold its meeting at our church Saturday, March 20th. This is an all day meeting that includes worship and an educational seminar in the morning and a meeting for the business of the Presbytery in the afternoon. We will hold a delightful lunch for the expected 75 commissioners and guests. Our own Chris Zellman will prepare this tasty lunch with help from kitchen volunteers, servers and clean up crew. We’re also looking for bakers to contribute goodies for dessert. Ushers are needed for worship and hosts to help visitors find their way around our facility. Contact the office (524-4419 or info@first-presby.org) to volunteer for this important out-reach.

Men’s ministry opportunities abound! Saturday, February 13th, 8:00 am is the monthly Men’s Breakfast. Join the guys for breakfast and our best (or worst) date story!

Pick-up Basketball has begun! Wednesday nights at 9:00 in the great hall. Come for the workout and fellowship, bring someone along to introduce them to this great group of guys.

It’s back!! The Presby-Open will return this year. This fun-filled weekend of golf is in the organizational phase. Watch for dates and details.

Soup and Scripture

Throughout the Lenten season, the Lewisburg Council of Churches will hold the 33rd Annual Soup and Scripture Series. The luncheon takes place at Christ Lutheran Church, 3rd Street, at noon every Wednesday starting Ash Wednesday, February 17th. Our church will provide lunch (sandwiches, soup, and dessert) and serve on March 24th. Watch for the sign up sheet.

Family Night at the Beach

Join in the fun at Family Night, Wednesday, February 17th, 6:00-7:30 pm. The Great Hall becomes the beach complete with dinner and warm weather! Be sure to wear your flip flops, shorts and sun glasses. There will even be fun beach games. Say “take that” to winter! Fun for the whole family. ( There is no Mustard Seeds this night)
